The scientific gemmotherapy

Quality control right from harvest
At Alphagem, product quality is at the heart of our commitment. We ensure quality at every stage of our bud harvesting process. Thanks to our own cultivation and supply network, we take full responsibility for harvesting. Our aim is to harvest buds at the optimum time of their development, when sap is rising. In the field, our harvesting teams include specialized inspectors responsible for sorting each bud on the spot, eliminating those that do not meet our strict quality standards. Our harvesters follow precise specifications, ensuring optimal harvest quality.
At Alphagem, we are committed to providing products of exceptional quality, and this promise begins at source with our rigorous harvesting and quality control processes.
Organic and fresh products
At Alphagem, we go beyond the norm by using only fresh buds, in accordance with the pharmacopoeia (minimum 10% fresh buds). All our ingredients, including glycerine, are certified organic, underlining our commitment to sustainable practices. Our choice never to freeze or dehydrate buds, combined with stabilization immediately at the harvest site, not only guarantees optimal freshness but also maximizes the energy potential of our products.
We favor a variety of sources, harvesting buds and young shoots from organically grown crops (blackcurrant, fig), forests (oak, elm, ...) or clean fields (cranberry, juniper, rosemary, ...). This diversity guarantees the richness of our products while respecting environmentally-friendly farming practices.

A rigorous extraction process
At Alphagem, our commitment to quality is reflected in our rigorous approach to the extraction process, guaranteeing products of exceptional quality. Buds are stabilized directly at the point of harvest in a final solvent composed of alcohol, water and glycerine. This methodology ensures optimal capture of the buds' energy and active ingredients, guaranteeing maximum efficacy.
The extraction process first described by Dr. Pol Henry now favors the most widespread form: the mother macerate, a glycerine concentrate. This process involves cold maceration of fresh buds in the three solvents (water, alcohol, glycerine), in the proportions defined by the pharmacopoeia. Precision in the proportion of buds to solvent is maintained to guarantee a final alcoholic strength of between 30% and 35%, thus preserving the therapeutic efficacy of the buds.
Despite the emergence of fancy new extraction processes, such as replacing glycerine with honey or agave syrup, at Alphagem, our extraction process is the fruit of Dr. Pol Henry's expertise. It simultaneously uses the three essential solvents (water, alcohol, glycerine), ensuring maximum extraction of active ingredients, while preserving the quality of our products.
Alphagem: a pioneer in scientific gemmotherapy
At Alphagem, we are pioneers in scientific and analytical Gemmotherapy. Our commitment is to promote knowledge in this field and offer our users the opportunity to make informed decisions.
To guarantee the scientific quality of our buds, we make available to you the flavonoid analyses of each batch, carried out by an independent laboratory. As the first Gemmotherapy brand to fully comply with the AIG Gemmotherapy Standards, we offer you fully organic mother-macerates and complexes of exceptional quality.
