After budding for several years in the mind of Manuel Hita Cortes, Physiotherapist and Doctor of Acupuncture, Alphagem was born in March 2015. A young family business, it was founded with the aim of offering consumers scientifically-proven, high-quality gemmotherapy.
Founded in Luxembourg, Alphagem quickly centralized its production in southern Belgium, in Latour, triangle of the 3 borders. This geographical location allows for fluid circulation between the various European countries.
Today, with the help of Philippe Andrianne, author of “Traité de Gemmothérapie” (Ed.Amyris), Alphagem continues to grow its reputation while maintaining the values that are important to it: respect, sharing and rigor.
“Alphagem is a company with ethics at the heart of its concerns...”
The 3 Alphagem pillars
High-quality products:
Alphagem is responsible for the entire manufacturing process, guaranteeing optimal, nature-friendly harvests.
In-depth expertise:
Flavonoid analysis by an independent laboratory available to all.
High-value-added customer service:
By offering training courses and participating in trade fairs throughout the year.

Alphagem has opted for green chemistry... But what exactly is green chemistry?
It's a combination of factors involved in our manufacturing process, such as the selection of renewable plant resources, the use of alternative organic solvents, and reduced energy consumption (such as cold maceration).
Alphagem has chosen to systematically select certified organic ingredients, including glycerine. This makes Alphagem the leading brand with the highest percentage of organic ingredients (Certisys-LU-BIO-06). We have also obtained the GMP (Good manufacturing practices) label, for which we are re-evaluated every year.

Since 2015, Alphagem has already developed around a hundred products in several ranges, ranging from classic gemmotherapy with single products to complexes for more specific pathologies, balms, syrups, birch sap, etc.
In 2021, Manuel HITA CORTES, Doctor of Acupuncture and Director of the ESC in Brussels, wanted to develop a range based on acupuncture meridians... The ACUGEM range was born!
