Acupuncturist and professor of Chinese medicine, Manuel HITA CORTES, decided to combine his passion for medicine with his interest in gemmotherapy. 

Together with Philippe ANDRIANNE, they came up with a way of offering a range of quality gemmotherapy products that met certain needs.

Acugem was born. Firstly, by creating the “Elements” range. This range is based on the 5 Chinese elements: Metal, Earth, Water, Wood and Fire. Each element represents a season and a time of year.
